Bringing together global leaders to advance principled dialogue on today’s global challenges.

GII — Mission (Typewriter Edition)
OUR VISION

Ideas Matter — Minimal Flat Design

Simply put, ideas matter.

Throughout history, ideas brought to life have redefined what’s possible. When abstract concepts and visions move from idea to action, they can lead to lasting progress. Indeed, the power of ideas has always driven change, from Henry Dunant to modern trailblazers like Hersch Lauterpacht, Eleanor Roosevelt, Kofi Annan, Malala, and Gareth Evans.

Today, we face global challenges that are as urgent as those of past generations. Examples abound, from nuclear proliferation and climate change to the enduring scourge of conflict and war. Across time, the success with which our predecessors met the challenges of their era rested on principled dialogue, shared purpose, and, above all, the courage to imagine better paths forward. Advancing this tradition defines who we are and what we strive for, the GII way.
